Ars Technica, 14 Aug 2026: a PBS affiliate is staring at about 50TB of archive after the cloud storage vendor stopped answering. Not a ransomware note. Silence. That is enough. If your contract does not include a tested export, you are renting a room whose landlord can lose the key.

I still check the SSID like a superstitious person. That has almost nothing to do with PBS tape. I am leaving it here anyway. People trust a network because it has a logo.
